Want to contribute to the effort of documenting the Cardwell family for future generations?
I’ve been contacted and gained tons of material from other Cardwell researchers over the years. If you have information on your particular line, or would like to help with some of the research, please contact me using the “EMAIL” button on the left.
This family isn’t the largest in the world, but there is plenty of work to spread around in gaining a greater understanding of how we all connect. Things that help make the family story more complete are photographs of Cardwell ancestors, homes and graves, documents and source material, most of all written stories on the history of unique lines. If we work collectively, we can build a lasting legacy for future generations. For example - old photographs get lost or after the current generation dies the names of the individuals are forgotten. If we can scan those photographs they will be available for all to cherish. There is nothing like finding a photo of an ancestor that has been hidden away in some distant cousins attic for years. Putting a face to a name adds a great deal to otherwise dull genealogy work.
Liekwise, the verbal history of your ancestors is a vital part of their history. Just taking the time to write down old family stories and saving them for future generations is part of the family legacy that we all can contribute.
Thanks,
Rand
